Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
The Quality Engineer Manager is responsible for all quality aspects of the Subsea Production Systems - Manifolds and Connection Systems engineering team:
  • Assume quality assurance leadership role in all aspects of quality engineering and associated documentation for the assigned processes.
  • Apply technical and quality knowledge and practical experience to the analysis, investigation, and solution of complex process problems to assure that prompt and effective action is taken to prevent or, as necessary, resolve quality issues.
  • Ensure procedures are consistent with the ones applied by the Engineering teams working on subsea systems and EPC, with the target to streamline interface management and project execution.
  • Implement changes to improve processes and product quality, optimize production of quality at the source, and eliminate failures/losses.
  • Maintain quality assurance programs and procedures, and assure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training of individuals in quality related activities.
  • Assure that engineering activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements.
  • Provide quality plans to monitor and report quality delays.
  • Develop plans to reduce "Engineering Cost of Quality" and margin leakages year over year.
  • Measure and improve transactional processes to increase "First Time Yield".

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Engineering and Engineering Quality Improvement methods.

    Desired:
  • Additional experience in the areas of Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality is preferred.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
