The challenge:

• Identify and assess technologies relevant to the development of transgenic, yield-associated traits for the KWS crop portfolio
• Establish a worldwide network with potential research partners from academia and industry
• Develop concrete proposals for research projects
• Manage and supervise research projects
• Budget responsibility

Your Profile:

• University degree (PhD), preferably in plant molecular biology
• 3 years experience in management of research projects in plant molecular biology in academia or industry
• Experience in national and/or international research collaborations
• Solid knowledge of plant molecular biology methodologies
• Basic understanding of plant genetics and breeding
• Project management skills, including knowledge of management tools
• Basic understanding of statutory, regulatory, and Intellectual Property affairs
• Proficiency in English and basic knowledge of German
• Willingness to travel
