Supplier Account Manager

Job Purpose
§ Manage all aspects of supplier related activities, assisting the P&TS function in resourcing the appropriate suppliers to support the delivery of services.
§ Ensure the group enhances its buying power based on activities across all areas of P&TS to negotiate the best agreements combining price and quality.
§ Track and follow up on supplier adherence to the defined Service Level Agreements, in close cooperation with the teams within P&TS who are responsible
§ Build reporting metrics that support the performance of the function
Principal Accountabilities
Supplier Management
- Help to define the supplier´s objectives, services, delivery, execution methods and products and services
- Liaise with Finance & Legal to oversee the contracting process for P&TS, ensure compliance with the global procurement policy, support the tracking and reporting of supplier spend
- Work with the Finance & Legal teams to source and select suppliers as required by the P&TS organisation, in accordance with the policies defined by Finance & Legal
- Represent P&TS (and VISA CEMEA where appropriate) to the supplier organisations
- Manage risks and resolve issues related to services provided by the suppliers
- Establish and maintain an ongoing working relationship with designated suppliers at all relevant levels
- Work across the P&TS team (who have BAU supplier contact and responsibility) to monitor and seek feedback on supplier performance
- Support and facilitate the license management and asset management processes for P&TS
- Work with Head of Supplier Management in carrying out scheduled supplier audits (security etc.) and performance surveys
- Support and provide cover for the Head of Supplier Management
- Facilitate reviews and improvements in performance where appropriate
Qualifications and Experience
- Broad experience in a technical role within the Payment Systems Industry, including experience managing staff and/or project resources
- Experience in managing Suppliers and Supplier Management techniques
- Experience of working in a finance or procurement function, with the ability to assist in evaluating project cost/benefits
- Highly developed problem solving and decision making skills
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels and functional areas, internally and externally
- High level of personal initiative, creativity and self motivation
- Flexible, adaptable, well organised, a good planner
- In depth knowledge of the Visa environment, systems, structure and methodologies
- University degree or equivalent experience
