Our client is a 100% subsidiary of a Western European telecommunications group. From its base in Bratislava, a holding company controls and develops activities in Central and Eastern Europe. Currently, just two years after formation, local companies already exist in 5 countries. Our client’s business is taking over, developing and operating so-called neighbourhood networks, which are built up into city carriers.
Including its local operations, the holding company now employs a workforce in excess of 300 and generates an annual turnover of over €10 million. Realistic growth targets (takeovers and organic growth) will quickly produce a doubling of these figures.
Your Duties
As carrier sales manager you will sell our products and solutions to carrier companies in Central and Eastern Europe. You are experienced and successful in building business relationships with carrier companies and you have managed large projects in this environment in the past.
Requirements
In order to be able to perform these duties successfully, you will need to fulfil the following criteria:
- Have graduated from a technical university in economics, electrical engineering or a similar discipline;
- You will already have several years of professional experience as a carrier sales manager, ideally in a telecommunications business in Central & Eastern Europe;
- You are responsible for creating business relationships with carrier companies in Europe;
- You are responsible for the sale and promotion of the company’s products on this market;
- Involvement in determining products and/ market skill required;
- At least a few years of experience in support & sales to carriers in Europe, preferable in the EEC;
- Knowledge of the data communications industry and good technical knowledge would be advantageous;
Ability to manage and coordinate large projects
- Understanding of commercial, economical and technical aspects of this business;
- Business-level English and ideally additional languages such as German and/or Central & Eastern European languages.
The position, which is due to be filled as quick as possible, offers an attractive, performance-related remuneration package, consisting of fixed salary, bonus and a friendship payment.
