This Team are looking for a qualified Social Worker to join their Children and Families Team.

You will have the opportunity in this post to contribute to the development of services to protect children and ensure that their needs are met. Working from the purpose built Family Centre you will play a lead role in providing services to support children and families on a single service basis, through inter-service programmes involving Social Work, Education and Health.

You will be required to take responsibilities for a case load and provide and develop programmes of assistance for children and families both within the Centre and on an ‘out reach’ basis. You are an enthusiastic worker with the ability to network and maximise the opportunities to develop innovative practice. In addition to a good knowledge of childcare and child protection legislation, practice and research, a high standard of written and verbal communication skills are required.

This is a contract position which will last for 3 months; the pay rate for this position is set between £18.00 and £22.00 depending on experience.
