Technical Software Support Engineer
Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
We are urgently looking for an enthusiastic and professional Technical Software Support Engineer to join our GE Security Technology center in Gdanks.

In this role you will provide expert technical and product support to our customers utilizing GE MAS Mission - Critical Monitoring software. This includes following:

* Respond promptly and professionally to customer issues received via telephone, e-mail, web, and internal escalations.
* Consult with customers to provide the best solutions for complex problems or requests.
* Design and create SQL scripts and utilities for use in troubleshooting or resolving customer problems.
* Code Red Support - provide 24/7/365 response to mission-critical problems that could result in the loss of life and property. This requires the ability to independently analyze, diagnose, and resolve most critical problems in a very short time-frame.
* Central Station Receiver / Signal Processing Support
* Receiver set-up / Third party integration
* Receiver connectivity
* Analyzing raw signals from different formats

Qualifications/Requirements:
* A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or computer related field

Desired:
* Experience with Cisco PIX and routers in a VPN environment is a plus.
* Knowledge of networking components, suck as TCP/IP, and ODBC is helpful.
