The Department of Management at the Aarhus School of Business (ASB), Aarhus University, invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be expected to take up appointment by 1 December 2009 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The position of assistant professor is a three-year position with teaching and research obligations. Other tasks may be of relevance to the position according to the decision of the Department. Applicants must have a relevant PhD or similar academic qualifications before taking up the position. It is expected that the applicant is able to teach in the English language.
The Department covers the teaching within management, strategy, organisation and international business development at Aarhus School of Business. The research of the Department has mainly focused on areas such as innovation, change management, technology management, entrepreneurship, human resource management and international conditions for management and business development.
In terms of research the new assistant professor is expected to contribute to the further development of the research in innovation and entrepreneurship. Applicants with qualifications and interests within entrepreneurship and related regional development will be preferred.

• Copy of PhD certificate
• Documents substantiating teaching and research qualifications
• A complete numbered list of publications and working papers. Research publications and working papers which the applicant wishes to be included in the evaluation should be marked by an asterisk (*)
• The asterisk-marked scientific publications,
• A brief statement of future research plans should also be included
• Co-author statements relating to the publications enclosed
The application should be sent in three copies to the address given below.
Please note that for the position of assistant professor a maximum of five research publications and/or working papers may be submitted.
The applications will be evaluated by an assessment committee which is authorised to ask for supplementary material from applicants if it deems this necessary. Applicants will receive a copy of the part of the committee’s recommendation which concerns their own application.
Candidates whom the expert assessment committee deems qualified for the position may be invited for an interview and may be asked to give a test lecture. In making the final decision, ASB will give priority to the applicant who has demonstrated the best research potential.
The appointment will be made in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the appointee’s organisation.
