Working in a multinational and multicultural environment, you will manage a team of 7 people, ensuring the technical and sales support to the German Speaking customers (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
Responsibilities:
Is the first contact for all technical questions from external (Customers and Distributors) and internal Customers (Application Specialist, Sales Managers and Customer Service group);
Is responsible to collect, communicate and file all information concerning customers, competitors, market news;
Is personally up to date concerning application and product information and runs internal and external training sessions for other Tech Service colleagues, Application Specialists, Sales Assistants, Customer Service Group;
Supports especially new Application Specialists during their training/start up period and understands and communicates technical training needs to respective Manager;
Ensures understanding of divisional strategies and integration into daily activities;
Respect, live and share with external and internal customers the Millipore values;
Continually enhances the skill level of his/her organization by investing in the development and learning of the organization’s employees, and by actively participating in the selection of external talent;
Promotes a climate of positive employee relations by fostering two-way communication and by resolving employee issues in a timely manner;
Challenges both himself/herself and others by managing employee performance, including the timely completion of performance appraisals and mid-year reviews, regular feedback, and appropriate action planning;
Develops the centralized Tech Service organization to a superior centre of excellence, which supports internal & external multicultural European customers.
Education:
Technically educated in biological sciences to at least Master degree (ideally PhD) in Molecular & Cell Biology, immunology and Flow cytometry.
Experience:
Proven technical experience in laboratory environment;
Significant working and study experiences in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.
Language:
Perfectly fluent in German and English;
Excellent written and verbal language skills in English and German.

Strong coaching and communication skills in a multicultural / multinational environment to develop and motivate both Tech Service people and also sales assistants;
