A postdoctoral position is available in the team of Sara Buonomo. The main interest in the lab is the understanding of the interplay between DNA damage checkpoints and chromosome dynamics, in differentiated mammalian cells, in stem cells and during mouse embryonic development. In our studies we use a multidisciplinary approach, including cell biology, developmental biology and biochemistry. We seek to recruit a Postdoc who will work on a project aimed to understand the role of the DNA replication checkpoint during early embryogenesis and embryonic stem cells differentiation.
Qualifications and experience:In addition to a PhD in a related field, candidates with experience in mouse development and/or embryonic stem cells manipulation are strongly encouraged to apply. However, candidates with different backgrounds will also be considered. Main requirements are a strong motivation, excellent skills and the willingness to work in an international environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills are further required. The working language at EMBL is English.
Contract: An initial contract of 1 year will be offered to the successful candidate. This can be renewed, depending on circumstances at the time of the review.
