The field of programming languages and systems comprises the design and implementation of programming languages, including techniques that support the development of zero-defect, safe and maintainable software.

Department of Computer Science
The Department of Computer Science seeks a professor in software development. From September 2009, the Copenhagen Master of Excellence (COME) program in Computer Science includes a competence profile in software development. As part of the Human-Centered Computing research group, the professor is expected to play a central role in teaching and research activities related to this competence profile.

The field of software development comprises approaches and techniques for the analysis, design and implementation of software. We therefore look for a candidate who brings together competence in these core elements of software development as a computer science discipline with a broader perspective. This perspective should acknowledge the importance of the managerial, organizational, social as well as technical aspects of the software development process.

Applications are invited for a Clinical Professorship in Medical Endocrinology with special focus on mitochondrial dysfunction at the Department of Orthopaedics and Internal Medicine to commence as soon as possible.

The clinical professorship consists of a salaried professorship at the Faculty of Health Sciences and a consultancy in Region Zealand, with service at Næstved Hospital.
It is a requirement for appointment that the applicant is accepted for both the professorship and the consultancy. In order to be considered, the applicant must therefore send an application both to the Faculty (the professorship) and to Næstved Hospital (the consultancy). This also applies to applicants who are already employed as consultants at the Hospital.
Terms of employment

The program aims at dealing with issues in political economy, applied public economics, the functioning of industries and markets, the impact of macroeconomics on productivity and growth.
A distinctive feature of the PhD program is the integration of theoretical, technical, and practical expertise, aimed to educate highly qualified professionals, who analyze, plan, and manage concrete interventions of political economy.
Theoretical methodologies and models are generated and tested, through the systematic investigation of the real world, with a distinctive focus on concrete observation of markets and their actors. At the end of the program, students are able to identify commonalities as well as distinctive characters of economies, markets, and industries

Applications are invited for a fixed-term (5 years) Clinical Professorship in Clinical Genetics with special focus on cancer genetics at the Department of Diagnostic Sciences, the Faculty of Health Sciences to commence as soon as possible.
The clinical professorship consists of a salaried professorship at the Faculty of Health Sciences and a consultancy in The Capital Region of Denmark with service at Department of Clinical Genetics, Juliane Marie Centre, Rigshospitalet.

It is a requirement for appointment that the applicant is accepted for both the professorship and the consultancy. In order to be considered, the applicant must therefore send an application both to the Faculty (the professorship) and to the Hospital (the consultancy). This also applies to applicants who are already employed as consultants at the Hospital.

Applications are invited for a fixed-term (5 years) externally financed salaried Clinical Professorship in Endocrinology with special focus on diabetes and pregnancy at the Department of Orthopaedics and Internal Medicine to commence as soon as possible.

The clinical professorship consists of a salaried professorship at the Faculty of Health Sciences and a consultancy in the Capital Region of Denmark, with service at Rigshospitalet, the Abdominal Centre.

The area of employment for the consultancy is the Capital Region of Denmark with service at the above-mentioned workplace. Appointment to the position of consultant is subject to the joint academic collective agreement and associated organisational agreement for consultants made between H:S and association of Danish medical specialists, Foreningen af Speciallæger. The position of consultant does not entail roster duties.

For the professorship the appointee will receive a pensionable annual salary of DKK 169.841,17 (1 April 2009 level).

Assessment of applicants will primarily consider their level of documented, original scientific production at an international level, including contributions to developments in their field. The teaching, managerial, out-reach, and innovative qualifications of applicants will also be considered. - Applicants will be notified of the composition of the assessment committee.
