    The Department of Hydroinformatics and Knowledge Management (HIKM) has a Core that is engaged in the study and application of Knowledge and Capacity Development (KCD). Current research concerns the modes of knowledge sharing in water resources, the capacity in government and the civil service system, and the access to the global knowledge pool through formal and informal learning processes and networks.

    Applications are invited for a PhD Studentships to join PROF. TOMASZ GUZIK research group to study novel mechanisms of hypertension with a particular emphasis on the immune mechanisms of blood pressure regulation. Studies will include the investigation of the effects of chronic infections such as gingivitis on blood pressure regulation and complications of hypertension.

    The program will end with PhD award if a student successfully completes research and PhD study course at Jagiellonian University School of Medicine.


    OPTIMIS focuses on open, scalable and dependable service platforms and architectures that allow flexible and dynamic provision of advanced cloud services.     Ph.D. Studentships in Adaptation and Visualisation funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI)
    Applications are invited for two funded Ph.D. positions in the Knowledge and Data Engineering Research Group (KDEG), Discipline of Intelligent Systems, School of Computer Science and Statistics at Trinity College Dublin (TCD). KDEG enjoys a world-class reputation in the areas of adaptation research, intelligent systems and knowledge driven information systems. Successful candidates will have an excellent academic record (a postgraduate qualification, e.g. M.Sc., or a II.1 or higher in a relevant primary degree) in Computer Science or related discipline, strong communication skills and a proficiency for software development.

    The Postdoctoral position is for three years duration and is funded as part of a SFI Principal Investigator (PI) AMAS project lead by Prof. Vincent Wade and Dr. Owen Conlan. The AMAS project seeks to support dynamic, integrated adaptivity and personalisation of web media and services to enable the dynamic and rich repurposing (recomposition) of existing content and web application services. This will be achieved through combining the three complimentary strands of Automated Model Driven Adaptivity of Media and Services, Models for Reuse Strategies and Visualisation for Reuse.
    Remuneration will be in the form of a salary starting in the region of 37,750 Euro. Closing date for applications is July 16th 2010

    We wish to recruit a Web Interaction Designer on a fixed term contract basis with primary responsibility for designing and implementing user-centric interface components for an adaptive, collaborative, multilingual social networking environment in collaboration with the relevant Research Leaders.
    This position will be based at Trinity College Dublin and the appointee will be an employee of Trinity College Dublin. They will report to the CNGL Project Manager (based at TCD) and to the CNGL Deputy Director, Prof. Vincent Wade.

    We wish to recruit a Web Systems Engineer on a fixed term contract basis with primary responsibility for designing and implementing the functional components (middleware) for an adaptive, collaborative, multilingual social networking environment in collaboration with the relevant research leaders.

    This position is based at Trinity College Dublin and the appointee will be an employee of Trinity College Dublin. S/he will report to the CNGL Project Manager (based at TCD) and to the CNGL Deputy Director, Prof. Vincent Wade.


     to direct the perfume innovation work to globally implement delivery systems across categories;
     to be close to our business and facilitate the transfer of exploratory ideas (research in & out) into consumer  products;
