Im wissenschaftlichen Fokus des Lehrstuhls stehen zwei Erbkrankheiten der Niere (polyzystische Nierenerkrankung, Nagel-Patella-Syndrom), angewendet werden ein breites Spektrum an ultrastrukturellen, biochemischen sowie molekular- und zellbiologischen Arbeitstechniken. Der Lehrstuhl ist beteiligt am Sonderforschungsbereich 699 "Strukturelle, physiologische und molekulare Grundlagen der Nierenfunktion"

Based in the Department of Engineering Mathematics, you will work in the Intelligent Systems Laboratory. You will undertake research in statistical techniques for informative pattern mining in complex and structured data, however, applicants interested in Machine Learning and Data Mining for Music Information Retrieval are also welcome to apply.
You will join a vibrant team working on the crossroads of data mining, machine learning, complexity science, and on applications in areas including music information retrieval, bioinformatics, web mining, news media analysis, and social network analysis.

This 3 year fixed term contract post is based at Beran Instruments Limited, Torrington, Devon. The starting salary of £20,000 - £25,000 will be supplemented by £6,000 for personal training and development and the opportunity to register for a higher degree.

We are looking to recruit an Investigator Scientist within our Nottingham unit. You will lead research projects within one of the programmes that form the Institute’s research portfolio studying the ‘Auditory Brain’. We seek applications from outstanding individuals from wide ranging backgrounds (including speech, development, hearing instruments and auditory fMRI) to contribute to shape and evolve the “Auditory Brain” programme.
You should demonstrate relevant research experience in hearing related science, a proven track record of relevant publication in peer-reviewed journals, including at least some first-authored papers and strong experimental and statistical skills. Also, a desire and demonstrated ability to push research in new directions.

You will have a PhD, or equivalent, as well as a strong achievement record in research and enterprise development and management. Knowledge of research funding and experience in relevant industry sectors are essential as is higher education management experience. Experience in IP management is important.

Based in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Bristol, you will be a highly motivated individual to fill a new post-doctoral research position in Micromechanics of Seismic wave propogation in granular materials.
You will have responsibility for developing modifications to an existing true triaxial apparatus, completing a series of particle scale characterization tests and comparing the small strain response as measured in a series of static and dynamic element tests on several non-cohesive granular materials.

The research project is a collaboration between the University of Bristol and Imperial College and the testing at Bristol will need to be carefully coordinated with numerical analyses being performed at Imperial College.

The EPFL School of Architecture, Civil and Environmental Engineering (ENAC) is com-mitted to strengthening its position in the field of Sustainable Architecture and Building Technology.
It is our intention to hire at the level of Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) but in exceptional cases an appointment at the Associate or Full Professor levels can be considered.

The successful candidate will carry out research and teaching that reinforces the relationship between construction, technology and design in complex large-scale buildings.
