    • Masters degree in chemistry or physics with excellent grades.
    Equivalent studies and degree will also be considered.
    • Solid background or previous experience in one of the following research fields is an advantage: inorganic or physical chemistry, solid state or condensed matter physics.

    The Laboratory develops thin film solar cells based on compound semiconductors. The PhD project will focus on the low cost synthesis of thin film semiconductor materials by electrochemical deposition from novel ionic liquids and subsequent thermal annealing. Further the project will involve the chemical and opto-electronic characterization of the materials and devices.

    The new professor will be a member of the “Physics and Materials Science” research unit. He or she will reinforce the activities of the UR in the field of compound semiconductors. We are looking for an expert in ab initio calculations of the electronic structure of semiconductor bulk and/or interfaces

    • Conduct research
    • Teach and tutor students at Bachelor, Master and Doctoral levels.
    • Represent the Luxembourg School of Finance and the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance to other universities and to the outside world in general.
    • Carry committee and administrative responsibilities, for instance relating to research, master theses and doctoral dissertations.
