    Applications are invited for a PhD Studentships to join PROF. TOMASZ GUZIK research group to study novel mechanisms of hypertension with a particular emphasis on the immune mechanisms of blood pressure regulation. Studies will include the investigation of the effects of chronic infections such as gingivitis on blood pressure regulation and complications of hypertension.

    The program will end with PhD award if a student successfully completes research and PhD study course at Jagiellonian University School of Medicine.


    - Hold a PhD obtained outside of Poland and have been employed as professors in a university or other institution of higher education outside Poland
    - Hold a higher doctoral degree, recognized as an equivalent to a Polish “habilitation”, by means of a bilateral agreement between governments of Poland and the country that granted the degree (mostly former Comecon countries).
    Also the candidate must have research experience in computer related science. In this case the teaching duties can be carried out in English, but eventually mastering the Polish language would be expected.

    The College of Europe is seeking candidates for the newly established “EP-Geremek European Civilization Chair” created by the European Parliament in honour of the late Professor Bronis³aw Geremek. The Chair consists of a part-time professorship (at least 50%) for the period of 2010-2013, with a preferred starting date of 1st December 2010. The Chair will be based in Warsaw at the Natolin campus of the College of Europe.

    The programme is designed to improve the standard of scientific research conducted at the Faculty of Chemistry
    by outstanding researchers in the course of preparing their doctoral dissertations, and to intensify international
    co-operation.

    The programme aims to train future scientists able to work in highly competitive environment and with abilities to
    work across disciplines. For this purpose we selected 20 topics from among the most-innovative and most-desired
    modern chemistry and to-chemistry-related material science.


    The Institute of Biochemistry and Biophysics PAS and the International Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology together with a number of foreign partner institutions are seeking 19 students for The New International PhD Program in Molecular Biology: Studies of nucleic acids and proteins - from basic to applied research.

    Project Title:
    Self-organization approach towards photonics/optoelectronics
    Project Description: The main concept of the research programme is to utilize eutectic self-organization for preparation of multi-component and multi-scale structured materials with controlled physicochemical and structural properties, capable of generating novel electromagnetic functionalities, which could find application in photonics/optoelectronics (i.e. photonic crystals, metamaterials).

    • You will be an integrated member of the Capital Markets team
    • You will be advising mainly international, in some cases also national clients
    • You will draft prospectuses and represent clients before the Polish SEC
    • The responsibilities include advising clients on, among others, complex financial products, convertible bonds, as well as all complying with state regulations / corporate governance of public companies
